Feast of St Theresa and 30th Year Celebration

Feast of St Theresa and 30th Year Celebration

On the 30th September 2018  after much  careful preparation we celebrated the Feast of St Theresa, and also the 30th year of the building of the church in Front Street.  The service was led by Fr Denis Labarette, Fr Saji and Fr John Bland. Statues of St. Theresa were presented to members of the congregation who have given  and continue to give great service to the Church  and its Community.  A red rose was also presented to each of the ladies in the congregation. Afterwards there was a reception in the hall with food and wine and  there was also  a display of photographs from the last 30 years.  In the chapel  there a powerpoint with pictures and some of the history and explanations about the fabric of the church.  A cake to celebrate the celebration was cut by Fr Saji and Fr John and a rousing song of ‘For he’s a jolly good fellow’ for Fr Saji who is leaving us to take up a post in Cardiff next week.  Thanks go to everyone who contributed to the success of this magnificant Feast Day.  It will be long remembered.
