Care Group

Who are we?

A small group of parishioners from both churches whose aim is to help our community to feel cared for, supported and connected.

What do we do?

Provide a listening ear
Offer support to the bereaved ( we send Mass cards}
Encourage people to come together so we can support each other

Events

Parish Hub

(dates in the newsletter) Currently this happens every second Friday of the month after 6 pm Mass in St Theresa’s social area. It’s a social for all ages where we can chat, play games and connect with our fellow parishioners.

Remembrance Mass

This takes place in November. It’s a chance for people to come together and remember their deceased loved ones. Many people have said they derive great comfort from this Mass.

Mass and Tea Party for the elderly/ housebound.

This takes place twice a year on a Saturday afternoon in the social area. It’s a chance for those who aren’t able to get out much to come together for Mass and an afternoon tea worthy of the Ritz. For more information, contact the parish office.

Pentecost International Mass and party

Parishioners can come in national dress. There are prayers in several languages and a chance to meet each other afterwards, while enjoying a shared table from around the world.

We would love to provide more events to support different ages and life circumstances. We’re not short of ideas- we just need more people to join the care group!

If you are interested, please get in touch through the Parish office. We would love to meet you!
