Children attending the 9.15am  Mass at St Theresa’s and the 11.15am Mass at Sacred Heart are invited to take part in the Children’s Liturgy.  Just before the main readings of the day, the children are called forward by our Parish Priest and process out with the liturgy leaders to the parish room.

The Liturgy leaders (who are all volunteers with DBS clearance) present the Gospel message of the day to the youngsters through stories, songs, pictures and actions.  The children show their understanding by making a picture or other piece of craft work, rejoining the congregation at the offertory procession and presenting their piece of work to the priest.

Anyone considering becoming involved is welcome to come along to see what happens at the sessions.  Materials, information and support are provided and volunteers are usually asked to run just one or two sessions per term.

For further information on volunteering at children’s liturgy contact the church office.
