Music and Choirs
Music plays an important part in our worship and is led by Chris Lowe at St Theresa’s and Brian Kennedy at Sacred heart. We have a good team of players for Masses and special feast days.
At St Theresa’s the Mass pattern in the month is usually as follows:
1st Sunday- assorted instruments. Younger, less experienced instrumentalists are welcome because there are several experienced adults to support them.
2nd Sunday – usually just keyboard.
3rd Sunday- solo guitar
4th Sunday- folk group
New instrumentalists are always welcome. Please speak to Chris or Brian after Sunday Mass.
Adult Choir
There is an ancient proverb that says, “He who sings, prays twice.”
Choir is open to all parishioners. You don’t have to be an excellent singer or read music- enthusiasm is the main requirement. Please talk to Chris or Brian after Sunday Mass if you’d like to join.
Youth Choir
We are blessed to have a group of young people (aged 7-18) who share their vocal talents with us at the monthly family Mass. (first Sunday of the month) Practices are usually after Mass the previous Sunday. If your child would like to join, please see Chris after 9:15 mass.
